One of the main things that people will tell you when you are building a blog, brand or business is to never neglect old fashion NETWORKING! But if you are anything like me... somewhere around 30 years old, my bedtime became earlier and earlier! Most nights I'd rather be curled up on the couch, but for a great cause I'll peel myself off! So when I covered the @blackgirlscreateintl mixer last week I couldn't leave without giving plenty of hugs and love to my two favorite brown girls first! Remember to never do more for the outside world than you're investing on the inside! Women empowerment starts at home! Check out my video recap below and read more about my experience too!

It takes a lot for me to leave the house on a weeknight at that! BUUUUT when a good opportunity arises to make meaningful connections with like-minded people... I can't pass it up! Black Girl's Create Intl is an up an coming professional organization in Atlanta for content creators and solo-preneurs. During their cocktails and creatives mixer, women from all backgrounds gathered in an intimate setting to connect and potentially create new collaborations. The atmosphere was so genuine and every person I met was very authentic!

The co-founders Cina James and Amanda Nothern picked a really cute location to accentuate all of the black girl magic that was present! The Red Martini is located right in the heart of Buckhead and was awesome enough to provide 1/2 off sushi and a signature drink specifically for the event! They had me at 1/2 off sushi! Back to business, the event was really unique becase there was so much room for organic conversations and mutual connections to form. I met three sisters that hadn't been in Atlanta longer than a month! There was zero pretentiousness in the air. You could barely tell who came together and who met for the first time!

I give this event an A+ for the atmosphere and authentic crowd! I can't wait to see what Black Girl's Create Int. has in store for the future. I am also excited to be the speaker for their Signature Speaker Series in October! Do you want to know more about this organization? Check them out at www.blackgirlscreateinternational.com! Thanks so much for having me!
